For most projects we'll need to speak with you about your specific needs before we can give a quote. Cost will vary considerably depending on certain variables. Here is a list of items to consider. If you have an idea about each of these before we talk, we can come to an accurate quote more effectively
Illustration & Fine Art
Media
We can work in a variety of media and mixed medias. Samples of work are displayed in the portfolio section under Illustrations and Fine Art. Media includes Pen & Ink, Water Color, Acrylic, Graphite, Pastels, and Colored Pencil.
Style
What style of art would you prefer? We can create realistic renderings or whimsical subjects. We can also develop a unique style for your project.
Dimensions.
What is the size that the artwork will need to be?
Final Output
How will the artwork need to be prepared? If you are using illustrations for print design, we can provide original artwork that you can take to your own service bureau, or we can have the artwork scanned and prepared for you. Will the artwork need to be vector based or can it be a raster image?
Intended Use
Will the artwork be for a promotional piece or will it be used to illustrate a product that will be sold, such as a storybook illustration or used on post cards? If it will be used in that manner, we will need to consider a contract for royalties or a higher outright commission price.
Rough Sketches
There will be a charge for rough sketches ranging from $10 to $20 each unless a sketch idea is chosen and a project commissioned from it. In that case no charge will apply for sketches.

Graphic Design & Page Layout
Project Size
Will this be a multi-page book or will this be a one-sided flyer? We need to know a general page number and final size of the piece. (We can help with creative ideas on folding brochures and pamphlets.)
Color Process
We can design for full-color pages with bleed or any number of spot colors. We need to know these specifications before we can give an accurate quote.
Images
Will you be providing images for the piece? Will images be digital or will they need to be scanned? We can set up a photo shoot and/or hire models specifically for your project if needed.
Copy
Who is responsible for providing copy? We provide copy writing services if you'd like assistance.
Proofing
We do general proofing, but we cannot be responsible for final proofs of the piece. It is ultimately the client's responsibility to proof and approve the project before it goes to print.
Final Output
What format will you need digital files to be? We can provide TIFF, EPS, PDF, JPG, GIF, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, and some other file formats.
Printing
We don't offer in-house printing services, but we do have a working relationship with several printers. We can take care of the printing services as well.

Final Quote & Payment
Once we know most of these details, ADO Designs can work out a very accurate quote. Once the price is determined, half of the total price will be required as a deposit with the other half being due upon deliver of the peice. (Terms are negotiable, so if we need to set up another payment plan let us know at the time the contract is signed.) |
